BIOGRAPHY
Heather Yates is passionate about many things in life. Fromrom health and wellness to being a mom and a musician, she does her best to keep improving daily and become someone who can make a change in the lives of those she interacts with. She loves to teach and is excited to share all of the knowledge that she gains and tries to do so in a way that is easy for everyone to understand.
She has one child, and new son that teaches her there is so much to learn in the present. Raising him in a way that will help him contribute to society and change the world is her main goal.
Heather is passionate about being healthy and promoting complementary and alternative medicine, but also values the wonderful people who have studied hard to bring us so many wonderful advances in the health field. She love to empower others with knowledge to take control of their overall health in ways that are lasting and helpful.
She is also a passionate oboist with a desire to help others gain an enthusiasm for music. She is a Graduate Assistant at Western Michigan University, where she assists in the oboe studio, teaches the oboe methods class, plays in the Graduate Woodwind Quintet and in Western Winds, and assists in large ensembles.
Heather has performed with the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra, and the CBDNA Northwest regional honors band. She enjoys sharing her talents with the community around her and has had opportunity as well to perform in Europe, sharing her talents and her belief in Jesus Christ. She hopes to continue this trend and perform for those who will listen, as well as publish an audio recording of sacred music.
Heather has received a Bachelor of Science in Music from Utah Valley University and is currently working toward a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from Western Michigan University. She has studied with Nora Lewis, Gabriel Renteria, Jayne Drummond and Jennifer Denney.
